Applications for High Order Voronoi diagram in Various Fields.

Hi,
  It would be helpful if someone  can provide information regarding
motivation for high order voronoi diagram. Which disciplines require  high
order voronoi diagram to solve what problems?

 I am sure this information exists somewhere on the net, i just can't
googlify it.
