The most successful and cost effective GIS implementations are those that proceed, according to a well thought out plan, toward clear goals, while maintaining and increasing political support. 

Hence, this summit aims at generating the needed political support, and interest or excitement about what GIS can do officials and executives from government and large enterprises, for the purpose of getting the right commitment, involvement, support and resources. 
The organizing committee would like to invite you to the GIS Summit to be held during the period 27-28 November 2005 in Kuwait. Our theme for this summit will be" Toward a country wide GIS implementation" . 
The audience of this summit should include  under Secretaries, Directors and Executives from all the government and private sectors from Kuwait and the GCC. These two-day Summit will be intense and educational and are targeted towards attracting individuals inside & outside the GIS realm.
