Multimedia Review
This year the multimedia review of computational geometry is being distributed on the web only. The presentation title links to the short paper in the ACM Digital Library describing the multimedia content. The short papers appeared in the Proceedings of the 21st ACM Symposium on Computational Geometry, 2005, and are available through the ACM Digital Library's online proceedings, provided you or your instutition has a subscription.

All Accepted Submissions Compiled on a Single DVD Image
(54m48s)
compiled by Lutz Kettner (Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik)
DVD PAL Video 720x576: [DVD video_ts folder zipped (1377 MB)]
Formats and Recommended Players
Each video is available online in two formats -- QuickTime Mpeg-4, Avi DivX-5 -- and two sizes -- 720x576 as in DVD PAL and 360x288. The QuickTime Mpeg-4 and Avi DivX-5 formats are recommended for their smaller size.
Submissions with different resolutions and formats where converted to above sizes and formats, usually introducing black frames. In addition, several submissions are provided in their original submission format, in particular NTSC formats, which should provide the best quality in terms of viewing space utilization, compression and transcoding artifacts. Multimedia submissions, such as Java Applets and Macromedia Flash, are also provided in their original format, which allows interaction with the programs in the case of the two Java Applets.
The QuickTime Player can be used on Mac OS X and Windows platforms to play the Mpeg-4 videos. Windows users should already have the Windows Media Player installed. Missing codecs, also usable with other players, can be found at this Microsoft site. DivX codecs are available for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X platforms. Linux and Mac OS X users may want to try the video player mplayer, which should play all video formats.
Note that in general if you try to play the large version videos or the Macromedia Flash MX presentation over a low bandwidth connection (for example, off a network drive or CD-ROM), then there may be problems with audio synchronization.
