                           CALL FOR PAPERS

19th EUROPEAN WORKSHOP ON COMPUTATIONAL GEOMETRY (EuroCG2003)
                       http://cg03.cs.uni-bonn.de

                   March 24 -26, 2003, Bonn, Germany

------------------------------------------------------------------------

DESCRIPTION
--------------
The annual workshop on Computational Geometry is a well-established,
scientific event visited by researchers from both academia and industry
since its inception in the early 80s. Established researchers from
academia, R&D people from industry, research students and postdocs come
here together to discuss their most recent work. The aim of this
workshop is to create an informal and productive atmosphere starting
international collaborations and bringing young researchers and
experienced scientists into contact to further the advance in the area
of Computational Geometry.
The 19th European Workshop on Computational Geometry will take place at
the University of Bonn, Germany, Institute of Computer Science I, March
24 - 26, 2003.

TOPICS
---------
Topics of interest to this workshop include, but are not limited to:

Analysis of geometric algorithms design and data structures referring to
- theoretical issues arising from implementations,
- combinatorial geometry,
- analysis of geometric configurations.

Applications of computational geometry to
- robotics and virtual worlds,
- computer graphics,
- simulation and visualization,
- image processing,
- geometric and solid modeling,
- computer aided geometric design,
- manufacturing,
- geographical information systems,
- structural molecular biology.

SUBMISSIONS
--------------
A title and a brief abstract (2-4 pages) should be submitted before
January 7, 2003. The abstracts will be collected and distributed among
the participants at the workshop. There will be no other proceedings so
that preliminary work can be presented which may later appear in a more
complete form at another conference. To outstanding results
(fully-reviewed) a special issue of “Computational Geometry: Theory and
Applications” will be dedicated.
Details on the submission format and the submission procedure will be
presented in time on the workshop Web site.
